Rob Benard Jr. was a resident and dedicated coach to the Agawam community for 13 years. Rob was an avid sports enthusiast, a lifelong New England fan, and one of the most knowledgeable individuals when it came to recalling sporting events and beyond. He channeled his love for sports into a passion for coaching a variety of youth sports. He especially loved coaching Agawam youth football. He considered fellow coaches as brothers and the kids his own. The ultimate joy was coaching his own son, Matthew, throughout his years in youth football.  His mission was to not only teach the knowledge and skills of the game, but develop character and commitment as well. Nothing brought him more joy and pride than watching the team work together to succeed.
